There is a portrait session that stays in my mind from 25 years ago, when Gabriel and I were just beginning our lives together. Seated in front of the camera at a local shopping mall photo studio, we tried our hardest to put our best smiles forward to capture a beautiful engagement photo for our wedding invitations. We laugh about that picture to this day, for though we didn’t purchase it, it stays there in my memory – stiff, awkward, not at all representational of who we were and the relationship we shared. Unfortunately, I think that is how many people still feel about having their portraits taken…an uncomfortable experience, resulting in photographs that may capture the face but not the likeness of who we really are and the relationships we cherish.

Beloved Portrait Sessions are the perfect antidote to the awkward photo sessions from the past; they are photo sessions that celebrate the connection and genuine communication that exists between couples in love. Imagine a time set aside with the person you love at an idyllic Northwest setting, or even right at home – a time to laugh, share memories, speak words of encouragement and rediscover the qualities that drew you together. To take a time out from the crazy routine of life to really see the one you are with, and appreciate again the love you share. As your photographers, we take great care to not only create beautiful photographs of your relationship, but make sure that your images honestly reflect who you are, not who we think you should be.
