Seattle Teen Portraits ~ Vintage Photo Shoot by Lorraine Marie Photography

There is an unspoken myth that swirls around the Seattle area in winter – that it is too cold, too gray, and too wet to venture out for outdoor location portrait sessions. Well, I am here to de-bunk that myth! Take this session with Sarah, for example. Sarah volunteered to be my model as we wanted to showcase a new style of photography we’re introducing for kids and teens. Not the cookie-cutter, run-of-the-mill type of photographs, but stylized sessions with a purpose and a theme. How fun is that?

For Sarah, we wanted to introduce a vintage theme, so we went out to one of our favorite locations, Discovery Park, and brought with us vintage props (yay for old cameras that we’ve been collecting!), headbands found on Etsy, bracelets from Forever 21 and Sarah’s own awesome flowered shirt that fit the theme so well. Everything tied together so beautifully and we are incredibly happy with the results. Thanks, Sarah, for kicking us off in style!
